Secondary Electrical Technology

Our services:

We are THE experts when it comes to electrical protection

Protection Technology

  • Our engineers can check and parameterise the block protection for power plants >500MW and then connect them to the grid after the first start-up.
  • We have completely tested 110kV busbar protection systems on a regular basis during ongoing operations.
  • In the 380 kV transmission grid, we have gained testing experience in the new eastern federal states and Hamburg.
  • Switching capability up to 380kV
  • Work under voltage training for installation systems, switchgear and instrumentation and control systems
  • We prepare setting sheets and selectivity calculations
  • 24/7 On-call troubleshooting service
  • Experience with IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-103 system integration
  • Testing and readjustment of electro-mechanical protective devices
    Equipment for:

    • Primary testing
    • Secondary testing
    • Transformer testing (accuracy class up to 0,1)
    • 400V testing
    • 61850 Sniffer and Simulator

Secondary Planning

  • Planning of control cabinets and niches
  • Incorporation of neccesary revisions
  • Manufacturer-independent device selection
  • Software licenses for:
    • Ruplan
    • Elcad

Commissioning

  • Checking the parts list, terminal and circuit diagrams
  • Terminal checks
  • Insulation tests for secondary cables
  • Testing of circuit breakers, loop measurements
  • Phase control
  • Function test for all controls, measurements, signals and feedback signals
  • Testing of the protective devices
  • Checking of the control / locking system
  • Transmission ratio and load measurement for current and voltage transformers
  • Preparation of work schedules
  • Short-circuit and voltage tests
  • Equipment for:
    • Primary testing
    • Secondary testing
